Emocab is a mobile application designed to promote vocabulary acquisition through visual and emotional cues. Since emojis are widely used by young adults socially, this app uses a learners existing understanding of emojis to contextualize difficult vocabulary words. The flashcard feature will help users associate difficult vocabulary words with the corresponding emoji. The game feature will further test a users recall of the vocabulary by having the user unscramble letters to correspond with a definition and emoji based hint. This also contributes to a better grasp of spelling.
